The newly elected maiden none Zanu PF Speaker of the Zimbabwe Parliament arrived in the UK today 18 September 2008 on 4 day visit to the province.
The meeting follows his February visit to the Province where he presided over the Provincial Congress elections for the substantive Provincial Executive that took over from the Interim Executive that had been necessitated by the dissolution of the Ephraim Tapa led Executive that had been dissolved over allegations of gross incompetence and insubordination.
During his packed programme the MDC Chairman will review the progress the Province has made in restructuring and address the MDC Provincial Assembly in Birmingham on Saturday 20 September 2008 starting at 16.30 hours.
The Provincial organising committee has secured the 1000 seater Ladywood Art and Leisure Centre, 316 Monument Road, Ladywood, Birmingham, B16 8TR for the Provincial assembly meeting on 20 September 2008.
Zimbabweans wishing to attend the momentous meeting with the New Zimbabwe Speaker of Parliament and Party National Chairman can obtain directions from the following volunteers

ZimDaily joins its readers and listeners of Zimnet Radio in congratulating the New Speaker on his election and his sterling work on behalf of Zimbabweans during the negotiations that resulted in Zimbabweans salvaging a significant portion of their stolen vote through the power sharing agreement that was agreed upon on 11 September 2008.
On behalf of our readers and in particular those in exile we would like to wish the Speaker well in his new position in the transitional government and urge him to move swiftly to cause Parliament to debate legislation that has disenfranchised them such that they can reclaim their voting rights and feel confident to return and support the reconstruction agenda that will turn around the country’s fortunes.
