Zimbabwe Parliamentary Clowns

In the past, Zanu PF has provided the Parliament of Zimbabwe with some brilliant legislators. Names like Sydney Malunga, Eddison Zvobgo, Christopher Ushehwokunze and Dr Bernard Chidzero quickly come to mind in that regard. But the genre now representing Zanu PF is a concoction of brilliant orators and clowns and silent assassins and clownish cheerleaders par excellence.

From Madiitawepi Chimene and Joseph Chinotimba, to  Psychology Maziwisa and Prof Jonathan Moyo  with Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa  and Kembo Mohadi sanguaged in between the the Zanu PF parliamentary baguette is so diversely put together it can cause one to loose political appetite on sight and vomit .

President Robert Mugabe's SONA repeated speech: verbartim

Madame President of the Senate,
Mr. Speaker Sir;
Honourable Members of Parliament;
Invited Guests;
Ladies and Gentlemen;
Comrades and Friends.
As a Nation, we occasionally find time to reflect on our achievements and the challenges we face in our quest to improve people’s quality of life.
Madame President, Mr. Speaker Sir, we have been able to do so in an environment of peace and stability, sustained since Independence.
To this end, I wish to pay tribute to our security and defence forces, and the generality of our people, who have joined hands in peace building efforts, even under very difficult socio-economic conditions.

Damn Coalitions-A means to a positive political end or doomsday?

At a time when the self-imposed ruling ZANU PF party is actively pruning and downsizing its membership by ruthless expulsion of perceived rotten eggs in its ranks, the main opposition adversary the MDC-T is busy celebrating the Godsend manna of potential members falling on opposition territory.

No amount of time has been wasted in scrambling for a share of the unprecedented windfall. Each opposition political formation – and boy are they numerous- is in overdrive repositioning strategy manoeuvres to be the most attractive destination for the ZANU PF fall guys. And the victims are equally positioning themselves to secure the most advantageous patch to launch a devastating blow on their former colleagues whom they will never forgive for the savage manner their political aspirations within the ruling party were extinguished.
